Carolina Youth Development Center to Host First Changemakers Breakfast
Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) will be hosting its first Changemakers Breakfast on Thursday, September 22nd at 7:30 am. Community leaders, child welfare experts, and South Carolina lawmakers are expected to be among those in attendance. The event will be held at the Charleston Yacht Club.
The Changemakers Breakfast will serve as an opportunity for the leaders to convene, collaborate, and engage in discussion on best child welfare practices. CYDC is working to facilitate and lead conversations at the state and national level that help work towards true transformation of child and family well-being systems. Jeremy Kohomban, PH.D. will be the keynote speaker. Kohomban is the President and CEO of The Children’s Village and the President of Harlem Dowling, which provide a broad continuum of residential and community-embedded programs.
”Creating significant changes in our child welfare system and strengthening families throughout South Carolina will require greater investments by all of us,” said CYDC CEO Beverly Hardin. “These changes will require a shared vision and must stem from a collective commitment by all stakeholders.”
