Social Venture Partners to Host Empower Charleston on October 27th

Social Venture Partners (SVP) Charleston will host Empower Charleston on October 27th to highlight six local nonprofit organizations. Empower Charleston is a celebration of philanthropy and the finale of the 2022 SVP grant investment cycle. 

Six mission-driven nonprofits will be given the main stage to make their pitch to investors, donors, and Social Venture Partners. The priorities for the 2022 grant investment cycle include a focus on economic mobility, education, and mental health. 

Social Venture Partners Charleston will announce three strategic partnerships and give attendees the opportunity to co-invest in all six organizations. The nonprofits that will present at Empower Charleston include:  

• Beyond Our Walls 
• Charleston Hope 
• Charleston Legal Access
• Heart Math Tutoring 
• Increasing Hope Financial Training Ctr.
• We Are Family
  

“We are excited to showcase all of the finalists in our 2022 grant investment cycle,” said Ian Devine, Board Chair of Social Venture Partners Charleston. “The three organizations selected for strategic partnership will receive grant dollars and intellectual capital from our fellow Partners. All six organizations will be eligible for additional matching dollars following their pitch at Empower Charleston.”
