Charleston County Parks Post-Hurricane Updates
UPDATE on 10/2/22 – Kiawah Beachwalker Park, the Mount Pleasant Pier, and Wannamaker County Park have all reopened, so all Charleston County Park facilities have resumed normal operations.

Charleston County Parks staff have assessed their parks and facilities after Hurricane Ian, and have some post-storm updates to share:
- Tonight’s Dancing on the Cooper has been canceled due to storm-related electrical issues at the Mount Pleasant Pier
- Most Charleston County Parks and facilities reopened this morning at 10 am, with the following exceptions:
- Kiawah Beachwalker County Park – Currently closed for assessments
- McLeod Plantation Historic Site – Closed Saturday, Oct. 1; will reopen Sunday, Oct. 2
- Mount Pleasant Pier – Currently closed; Riverwatch Café is open
- Palmetto Islands County Park – Closed Saturday, Oct. 1; will reopen Sunday, Oct. 2
- SK8 Charleston – Opening at noon Saturday, Oct. 1
- Wannamaker County Park – Currently closed due to power outage
