HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” Put Out Another Casting Call
A local casting agency is currently accepting submissions for those interested in working as paid extras on the upcoming third season of The Righteous Gemstones, a HBO series starring Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, and Adam DeVine. The agency says the production is seeking people of all backgrounds and ages to film at various times.
Tona B. Dahlquist Casting says the show has some very specific needs for upcoming filming (submission info is at the end of this post):
- Those that can portray 20 “Primitive Tribe Members” filming in area on outskirts of Charleston
- Photo shoot on 11/2
- Look needed:
- Venezuelan, Brazilian, Philippine, Hawaiian, Native American, Pacific Islander, Hispanic/ Latino, Possibly Asian, or Bi Racial
- 7 Males in loin cloths, 7 Females must be comfortable in Bikinis
- 6 kids. Kids be in shorts and tank tops

- 40 Males (Ages 17-22)
- To portray Military School Cadets filming in Charleston Area
- Should have short, neat haircuts or be willing to get one
- Filming Date 11/3

No vaccinations are required on this project, but all filming will be COVID tested on their filming date.

The Righteous Gemstones, is a half-hour comedy series created by McBride, who wrote, directed, executive produced, and acted in the show. The first two seasons were predominately filmed in the Charleston area. The series tells the story of the world famous Gemstone televangelist family, which has a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work, all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
