New Study: South Carolina No. 7 Best State for Entrepreneurs

Harrington Group International (HGI) today released a study on the Best States for Entrepreneurs, which placed South Carolina in 7th place.

HGI created the list after analyzing data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Census Bureau, and the Bureau of Economic Analysis data from 2020 to 2022. The rankings were determined by analyzing myriad factors such as taxes, jobs, the startup survival rate, consumer spending, the net migration of educated workers, among others.

South Carolina’s Numbers:

• No. 7 South Carolina
  • Jobs (+4%), Net Migration of Educated Workers (+38,297), Consumer Spending (+14.2%), Startup Survival Rate (50%), GDP (-0.5%), Credit Rating (AA+), Income Tax Revenue (46.6%).
