This month, Grain & Barrel Spirits announced “Barrel of Cheer” 2022, a charitable cocktail program to benefit local charities in Grain & Barrel’s hometown of Charleston through December 31st. Grain & Barrel will donate $1 for each cocktail sold to five local organizations: Charleston Waterkeeper, Lowcountry Land Trust, The Bee Cause Project, Warrior Surf Foundation, and The Green Heart Project.

“This holiday season we wanted to find a way to give back to our local Lowcountry community by serving up some great cocktails full of holiday cheer,” said Matti Anttila, founder of Grain & Barrel Spirits. “Grain & Barrel Spirits is a local organization and our brands are found in bars and restaurants all over Charleston so we decided to bring these two things together. We are a local business and are deeply grateful to call the Lowcountry our home.”

Dixie Vodka’s “Holiday Buzz” cocktail benefits The Bee Cause Project, an organization which seeks to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards while protecting our planet’s precious pollinators.

Chicken Cock Whiskey’s “Rooster in the City” cocktail benefits the Lowcountry Land Trust. Lowcountry Land Trust permanently protects land and water while creating community-centered places, such as Angel Oak Preserve, throughout coastal South Carolina.

Tequila Eterno Verano’s “Endless Summer” cocktail benefits the Warrior Surf Foundation. They work to provide free surf therapy, wellness coaching, yoga, and community to Veterans struggling with PTSD, transition issues, and mental health issues.

Virgil Kaine Ginger Infused Bourbon’s “Ginger Highball” cocktail benefits Charleston Waterkeeper’s mission to protect and restore Charleston’s waterways for our community and for future generations through programs, advocacy campaigns, and promoting wise stewardship decisions.

High Goal Luxury Gin + Tonic cocktail benefits The Green Heart Project who builds garden-based experiential learning projects and school garden programs to educate students, connect people and cultivate community through growing, eating, and celebrating food.

The cocktails in support of charities are available for purchase at select local restaurants. For more information, including a list of participating restaurants visit, www.grainandbarrel.com/cheer.
