Palmetto Moon Awards $10,000 to Non-Profit Organizations Across Southeast
Palmetto Moon, a Southern lifestyle retailer, is thrilled to announce the recipients of its “Together, Let’s Do Good” giving campaign – awarding $1,000 to 10 non-profit organizations serving the retailer’s local communities throughout the Southeast, for a total contribution of $10,000.
Launched in partnership with YETI on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, “Together, Let’s Do Good” rallied customers across Palmetto Moon’s 37 locations to nominate their favorite philanthropy to receive a $1,000 donation. Participating shoppers were also entered to win an exclusive YETI gift bundle valued at more than $300.
“We’re incredibly proud to team up with our customers in giving back to causes that directly benefit their neighbors,” says Palmetto Moon EVP, Chief Brand Officer Amber Dube. “Palmetto Moon has always celebrated Southern lifestyles in an authentic, personal experience that brings people together. The glowing response from our local fans truly captures the community spirit at the heart of our brand.”
Among hundreds of entries submitted by shoppers across six states, Palmetto Moon selected ten winners from the following locations, along with the designated non-profit organization of their choice:
Servants For Sight – Greenville, SC
Families Feeding Families of Middle Georgia – Macon, GA
Augusta Dream Center – Augusta, GA
Susannah’s House – Knoxville, TN
The Salvation Army Murfreesboro – Murfreesboro, TN
Allied Churches of Alamance County (ACAC) – Mebane, NC
Peaceful Paths – Gainesville, FL
Free 2 Teach – Huntsville, AL
Harvest Hope Food Bank – Columbiana, SC
Lowcountry Food Bank – Charleston, SC
“This donation is a critical need for ACAC,” says Jai Baker, Executive Director of the Burlington, NC-based emergency shelter, empowerment center and community kitchen. “The direct impact of the funds we will receive from Palmetto Moon will keep us preparing meals for the community and providing shelter for those who need it.”
“We are so thrilled to partner with Palmetto Moon and are thankful for their generous donation,” says Alison Kling, Executive Director of Free 2 Teach. “This gift will directly support the teachers and children that we serve here in Madison County’s three public school systems.”
Palmetto Moon awarded its ten “Together, Let’s Do Good” winning customers with YETI gift bundles featuring premium gear and drinkware, alongside a special check presentation for their respective community charities.
“It’s an honor to recognize the significant work of these organizations making a difference locally while sharing such a meaningful contribution with our guests,” says Palmetto Moon Chief Executive Officer John Thomas. “As a brand grounded in service, we’re excited to expand our ‘Together, Let’s Do Good’ efforts in step with Palmetto Moon’s continued growth and commitment to an elevated shopping experience that resonates with all generations.”
