SeamonWhiteside Announces Seven New Shareholders
SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service site design firm throughout the Carolinas, is pleased to announce the appointment of seven new shareholders. Integral to the leadership and vision of the firm, the new SeamonWhiteside shareholders include Danny Balon, Frances Yarbrough, Jennifer Palmer, Landon Messal, Ryan Hall, Taylor Critcher, and Trey Little.
“We are excited for these new leaders to take ownership as part of the company. Each of them exemplifies the SW+ values of passion, collaboration, and care,” says Russ Seamon, President of SeamonWhiteside. “They serve as role models for our employees and contribute significant value to our success and growth within the industry, while proving their ability to lead people and projects at a high level.”
Meet the new shareholders, the expertise and experience they bring to SeamonWhiteside:
Danny Balon, PE is the Director of the SeamonWhiteside Spartanburg office. He previously worked in the SW+ Greenville office and has over fourteen years of engineering experience in upstate South Carolina. Balon grew up in Spartanburg, SC and received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.
Frances Yarbrough, PE graduated from Clemson University in May 2013 with a degree in Civil Engineering and started working at the SW+ Mount Pleasant office shortly after. She enjoyed learning and growing in Mount Pleasant, SC for six years before moving to Charlotte, NC to help start the SW+ Charlotte office. Yarbrough is currently a Director of the SeamonWhiteside Charlotte office.
Jennifer Palmer, PE joined SW+ in 1999 after graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Environmental and Water Resources. She received her South Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license in 2001. While she has designed a variety of projects, including residential and commercial, her passion is parks and recreation and the public sector. Palmer is currently the Director and Branch Manager of the SeamonWhiteside Summerville office.
Landon Messal, PE earned his first Bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee in plant sciences. Continuing his education, he graduated from The Citadel in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Civil & Environmental Engineering. Messal is currently the Director of Digital Innovation for SeamonWhiteside.
Ryan Hall, PE graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Civil Engineering. Before starting with SW+ in 2018 as a Senior Civil Engineer, Ryan spent the previous eight years working primarily on industrial site development in all areas of South Carolina. Hall is currently a Director of Civil Engineering at the SeamonWhiteside Greenville office.
Taylor Critcher, PLA graduated from the Landscape Architecture department at Clemson University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Horticulture. Critcher’s unique blend of plant knowledge, digital graphics, international experience, and urban design perspective made him a perfect match for the growing SW+ professional team, which he joined in 2013. He is currently a Director of the SeamonWhiteside Charlotte office.
Trey Little, PE joined SW+ in 2013 after working for a local engineering firm in his hometown of Greenville, NC. He brought his experience and his degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University to the Mount Pleasant, SC office. Little is currently a Director of the SeamonWhiteside Charlotte Office.
Combined, these seven individuals share over 100 years of professional experience.
