Serpent Church Releases “God’s Breath”
Local rock band Serpent Church today released “God’s Breath,” their latest single, on all streaming platforms.
The track was self-recorded by the band and mixed/mastered by Eric Rickert from Big Animal Studios here in Charleston. Choose your favorite streaming platform before:
Starting in Charleston as a two-piece with founding members, Jon Stout and Michael Hiott, Serpent Church grew to a four-piece after adding Robbie Weise on bass and Chris Filan on vocals by the end of 2021. Their debut EP, Quake of Our Echoes, was released on May 6th, 2022.
The band also self-recorded and released a Stoner Rock version of “Funeral” from Band of Horses in June 2022. They continued touring regionally in support of their original self-produced singles “Harvest” in September 2022 and “wolves + arrows” in December 2022.
