Tri-County-based nonprofit We Are Family (WAF) today announced its new ParentSpace program, offering local parents, guardians, and caregivers of LGBTQI+ youth and young adults the chance to share interests, receive support and advice, and meet new friends. Facilitated by highly-qualified therapists and backed by support services, advocacy tools, and networking opportunities, ParentSpace is designed to provide holistic assistance.

Meetings are 90 minutes and held twice a month- one virtual and one in person. Upcoming dates are February 5th at 4 pm (in-person) and February 21st at 7 pm (virtual).

Interested parents, guardians, and caregivers can fill out this intake form to get started, and can also connect with others via the ParentSpace Facebook Group. Don’t miss WAF’s general tips for parents, found here. For questions or more information, contact WAF’s ParentSpace facilitator at parentspace@waf.org.
