Lowcountry Artists Gallery will present “Get Over It” for the month of March, featuring new oil paintings by Norma Morris Cable. The artist’s inspiration for this series began with a scene of a storm approaching Charleston’s iconic Ravenel Bridge and followed with more depictions at different times of day and times of the year.

An opening reception will be held at Lowcountry Artists Gallery (148 East Bay Street) on Friday, March 3rd, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Admission is free and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be served and the artist will be in attendance.

Growing up on Sullivan’s Island, and presently residing on the Isle of Palms, Cable says she is totally immersed in coastal living. After nearly 40 years with BellSouth, she is now pursuing her passion, painting the beauty that surrounds us. She was inspired by her high school art teacher, Virginia Fouche’ Bolton, and follows her lead in giving thanks to God by incorporating a cross in her signature.
