Palmetto Carriage Works Provides Free Carriage Tours for Wounded Ukrainian Soldiers
Palmetto Carriage Works today provided free carriage rides to ten wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are visiting Charleston this week.
According to the Post & Courier, the soldiers’ visit was made possible through a partnership between CHS4Ukraine (a local Ukrainian aid group) and a Minnesota nonprofit that gives prosthetics to Ukrainian veterans who lost limbs in the war against Russia.
The soldiers arrived Monday from Minneapolis where they received their new limbs. They are visiting U.S. cities to discuss their wartime experiences. The vets will take part in a press conference on February 23rd inside City Hall at 80 Broad Street.
