Bistro A Vin Expanding into Two New Concepts

Downtown cocktail bar and lounge, Bistro A Vin, has announced it will be moving from its Archdale Street location into the former Cafe Framboise space on Market Street and will be rebranded as Azur.

Situated around the corner at 159 Market Street, Azur’s menu will have all of the standards that guests enjoyed at Bistro A Vin, but with an expansion to include French classics.

Bistro A Vin fans will still be able to enjoy charcuterie and cheese boards along with new, larger dishes like Escargot Cassolette, Boudin Noir, and Boeuf en Croute. Along with the newly updated menu from Executive Chef and Co-Owner Dominic Chantepie, there will be a curated wine list, handcraft cocktails, and housemade desserts. Mathis Chantepie, Dominic’s son, will be responsible for the cocktail list at Azur. In addition to the Chantepies, Benjamin Boisson has joined Azur as co-owner and general manager.

The Archdale Street location will remain under the same ownership and is being transformed into Azur Events, a private event space Both concepts are projected to open in March 2023.

“We are extremely excited to delve into the private event space in Charleston”, said co-owner Florence Chantepie. “With the opening of Azur and Azur Events, we will be able to cater to more people in the area and provide them with a unique and memorable experience.”
