Website: South Carolina Among States Most Interested in Black History Month
A website that bills itself as the “ultimate lifestyle website for black women” compiled a list of the states most interested in Black History Month and they ranked South Carolina tenth. The rankings came from ThatSister, which examined Google Trends data to analyze the past month of Google searches across America for the search term “Black History Month.” Each state was then given a “Google Trends search score” of up to 100, based on how much residents in the area searched for the term.
The study revealed that Maryland has the highest search interest for Black History Month with a Google Trends score of 80. Delaware has the second-highest search score in the country, with a Google Trends score of 75.
