Gibbes Museum of Art to Host Culinary Street Fair During Art Charleston
The Gibbes Museum of Art today announced that tickets are now on sale for its popular culinary street fair, Gibbes on the Street, on Thursday, April 27th during the museum’s second annual visual arts festival, Art Charleston. Over 25 restaurants from all corners of Charleston will serve dishes at the festival held on Meeting Street, transforming this busy thoroughfare into an outdoor event with live music, dancing, an open bar, and food.
Art Charleston is returning from April 26th to 30th and will host special programs and events that highlight Charleston’s human stories through the visual arts. In addition to Gibbes on the Street, the festival will includes events like Art of Design, A Conversation with Beverly McIver, Live at the Gibbes, the Artistic Visionaries Panel and Artisan Fair.
“We hope this street party will be a source of discovery, fun and overall inspiration for the community,” saaid Angela Mack, executive director of the Gibbes Museum of Art. “We look forward to celebrating how art pushes the boundaries for all that is possible and the artists behind the extraordinary food in Charleston.”
