Battery and The Ideal Life Announce New Multi-Year Partnership
The Charleston Battery announced Tuesday a multi-year partnership with The Ideal Life. The partnership will see several initiatives between the two organizations throughout the year, along with The Ideal Life becoming the official sleeve sponsor on the club’s match kits.
Additionally, The Ideal Life will present the new Community Hero award, which will honor an individual at each Battery home match whose noble efforts positively impact others within the Lowcountry.
“This was a match made in heaven from the first minute; the talented team members in Hutson and Dave shared with our team how we want to grow and develop our team of players on the field and our front office staff off the field,” said club president Lee Cohen. “We really look forward to working with The Ideal Life over the next couple of years to help grow each others’ brand profiles within the community.”
“We have seen our framework help individuals and teams align their actions with their ideals and we’re very excited to see the impact it will have on the players and staff at The Charleston Battery,” said Mark Congdon, founder of The Ideal Life. “As a Charleston-based company, we know how important it is to align with other organizations that are doing good in the community, which is one reason why the partnership with the Charleston Battery is so important to us.”
The first Community Hero will be honored during the club’s opening night match on March 11 at Patriots Point. Tanner Clay, the Battery’s director of revenue, is the first Community Hero honoree as the winner of the Betsy McAdams Award the previous season.
The winner of the Betsy McAdams Award, which recognizes a person who best displays exemplary qualities of the game of soccer, community involvement, sportsmanship and contributions to the club, will be the first Community Hero honored in the preceding season’s opener.
“Our whole team is focused on unlocking joy in people’s lives so they can live to their full potential, the ability to spotlight and honor local citizens through the Community Hero presentation is a key way we can help spread love and joy in our community,” said Hutson Dodds, director of customer experience of The Ideal Life. “Our framework combines neuroscience, deliberate practice, and goal setting so people and teams can identify and pursue their purpose.
“We aim to not only help the Battery win on the pitch, but also support the players and staff in pursuing their purpose off the pitch.”
Battery fans will get their first look at The Ideal Life’s presence at Patriots Point and on the club’s kits on March 11 at Patriots Point when Charleston host Phoenix Rising FC for opening night.
