Where to Find Soft Shell Crabs in Charleston (2023)

That’s right, it’s soft shell crab season and the Charleston favorite is popping up on several local restaurant menus. Below is a list of places you can find the seasonal offering (information is subject to change at any moment, so contact any restaurant before making reservations or arriving):

  • Soft Shell Crab a la Meunière with Brown Butter, Sherry Vinegar, Tarragon, and Capers

• Delaney Oyster House
  • Crab Rice made with a Crab Base, Sofrito, Shellfish Magic, Soft Shell Crab Meat, and Carolina Gold Rice
• HERD Provisions
  • Has soft shell crabs presented in different dishes each day
    • On Monday, March 20th, they have soft shell po boys

According to Eater Carolinas, soft shell crab was also spotted on the menus of The Grocery, FIG, and Park & Grove.
