Dorchester Paws is Auctioning Off a 2023 Scout 175 Sportfish

2022 came with more challenges than our outdated shelter should face. The world has changed, times are harder than ever before for most, our community is being forced to surrender their pets at an unprecedented rate and our shelter has operated at max capacity for nearly the entire year. 

This year, Dorchester Paws will take in more than 4,000 animals this year, which is more than our shelter has ever taken in.

To get creative, Dorchester Paws teamed up with Scout Boats and is raffling off a brand new 2023 Scout 175 Sportfish boat with a trailer, on April 30^th of this year to help the animals of today and tomorrow.

Each raffle ticket is $100. The boat and trailer is valued at $45k. There are only 972 tickets that can be sold, in honor of Dorchester Paws 50^th Anniversary of saving lives (1972-2022).

“The abandoned, lost and neglected animals of Dorchester County have nowhere to turn and need the community more than ever,” says Danielle Zuck Director of Marketing & Development. “To date, 479 of 972 tickets have been sold so the odds are in favor of anyone who purchases a ticket right now. With taking in nearly 1,000 animals since January 1st, all donations received from these sales will go back to providing the necessary animal and medical care that is so desperately needed while they await their forever homes.”
