Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Awards Lifesaving Equipment Grant to Dorchester County Fire Rescue

Dorchester County Fire Rescue is now better equipped to handle emergencies and keep Dorchester County safer thanks to a grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The Foundation recognized our critical need and awarded us $48,010 to purchase ventilation fans.

“We are extremely grateful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs in North Charleston for providing us with this grant and positively impacting our community,” said Dorchester County Fire Rescue Chief Tres Atkinson. “We are so grateful to be given the tools needed to continue to keep the citizens of our county safe and protected.”

The battery powered Ramfan fans from Wally’s Fire and Safety will help to reduce our firefighters’ exposure to cancer-causing agents during and after fighting structure fires.
