Study: Natural Disasters Up 127% in South Carolina
QuoteWizard, an insurance comparison platform, released a report on the “states with the most natural disasters” and they said natural disasters have increased by 127% in South Carolina over the last 20 years
The website said their analysts looked at natural disasters nationwide going back to 1983 and found that the number has increased by 163% in the last 20 years.

- Natural disasters have cost South Carolina $20 billion to $50 billion since 1982
- Nationally, severe storms are the most common natural disaster followed by cyclones
