She’s the Veteran to Host 3rd Annual Women Veterans Day Celebration Gala on June 10th
She’s the Veteran will host their 3rd annual gala on Saturday, June 10th from 6 pm to 9 pm at Hall’s Signature Events. Tessa Spencer, a Veteran and the co-anchor on ABC News 4, will be the event’s emcee.
The event, for women veterans only, is a celebration of the women Veterans who are often regarded as “invisible,” and will recognize their sacrifices and service. It also gives the women a much needed “mental health” break they often forget to give themselves. The organization welcomes Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, retired or any prior service, regardless of time served.
“My hope for this event is that women come out and celebrate both themselves and each other,” said Brooke Jackson Kahn, Founder and Executive Director. “Their service counts and they need to know how much they are appreciated. This will be a very special night for them! Our number one mission is improving mental health in the female Veteran. In line with that goal, this event is for women Veterans ONLY so that spouses, moms, and caregivers can get a night off and simply enjoy each other’s company.”
The ticket price is inclusive of an open bar, food from It Takes 2 Catering, entertainment, and giveaways. Tickets can be purchased at shestheveteran.org.
Established by a community of female veterans in 2020 – and now an IRS tax-exempt nonprofit organization – the organization’s mission is to “work with female Veterans by providing a supportive community, strengthen their mental health through programmatic activities, and spearhead research for improving their health and mental health.” With over 45,000 women veterans in the state of South Carolina, She’s the Veteran works to bridge the gap of a well-needed community for these women to connect with.
