Press Release

The Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) invites all ages to participate in Cane Bay Pokéwalk at the Cane Bay Library, located at 1655 Cane Bay Blvd. in Summerville. The program will occur May 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, from 9:30 am – 11 am.

Participants are encouraged to meet in the library at 9:30 am to review rules and complete the first Pokémon activity before proceeding outside at 10 am. Participants will walk around the Cane Bay YMCA to spin Pokéstops, catch Pokémon, play Pokémon activities, and get some Pokéxercise. Additional Pokémon activities include: Who’s that Pokémon?, Find the Differences, and various puzzles.

Cane Bay Pokéwalk requires parents of ages 10 and younger to accompany their children for the duration of the program.

“Join us for a walk around the YMCA to spin Pokéstops, catch Pokémon, play Pokémon activities, and get some Pokéxercise,” said Anna Dunbar of the Cane Bay Library. “Play on your Pokémon Go app or just have a lovely walk with us in the sun. We aim to plan a fun time for all participants. Come rain or shine, we will have our Pokémon activities, so if it rains, don’t worry, we’ll stay inside!”
