Firefly Distillery and Francis Marion Hotel Partner on New Product Line

Firefly Distillery is partnering with The Spa of Charleston, located within the historic Francis Marion Hotel, to create specialty products and spa offerings debuting at a celebration during Mother’s Day weekend. The two Lowcountry staples are coming together to create Firefly-infused products, specialty Firefly cocktails at both locations, and spa guests will receive a complimentary drink at Firefly Distillery’s Tasting Room. To kick off the partnership, the two will host a celebration event on Friday, May 12th from 3 pm to 6 pm at The Spa of Charleston on 387 King Street.

“The rich history of the Francis Marion Hotel and the Swamp Fox Restaurant was a perfect pairing for our infamous Sweet Tea Vodka, and it’s been a fun process to reimagine the flavors of our spirits into a lifestyle product,” said Scott Newitt, co-owner of Firefly Distillery. “We loved the idea of partnering with another Lowcountry staple to create these products and celebrate the women and mother figures in our lives for this event.”

The new products include Firefly’s Sweet Tea Body Butter and oils, as well as Firefly’s Bourbon Vanilla Body Scrub made with real chips from the distillery’s aged bourbon barrels. Both products will be used in new luxurious spa treatments including a “Sweet-ish Tea” and the “Smooth as Carolina Whiskey” massage offerings at The Spa of Charleston. After each spa service, guests will receive a voucher for a complimentary cocktail at Firefly Distillery’s Tasting Room.

“We’re happy to celebrate our services at the spa with the unique flavors of Firefly,” said Bianca Griffin, Director of Operations at the Spa of Charleston. “Partnering with the oldest distillery in the state to bring to life the essence of southern hospitality was a no-brainer.”

To celebrate the collaboration and new product launch, Firefly Distillery and The Spa of Charleston will host an event during Mother’s Day weekend on Friday, May 12th from 3 pm to 6 pm at The Francis Marion Hotel. Guests can spend the afternoon getting pampered with mini spa treatments, enjoy a complimentary sampling of Firefly Spirits, and snack on appetizers from the Swamp Fox Restaurant and Bar, located at the Francis Marion Hotel. Tickets are $25 and are available now for purchase.

 For those who aren’t able to make the event, Swamp Fox Restaurant and Bar will feature a Firefly cocktail, the Charleston Tea Time, on their restaurant menu. Firefly Distillery will also be serving the Blue Heron cocktail at the distillery, made with Firefly Classic Vodka, Sallie’s Greatest Blueberry & Lavender Simple Syrup, Meyer lemon, and soda.
