Goose Creek Library Hosting Scam Prevention for Seniors
Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) invites senior adults to attend Scam Prevention for Seniors on Friday, May 19th from 11 am – 12 pm at the Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Road.
Ingrid Centurion, Founder/President of Generations for America, will conduct the program to educate seniors about dangerous scammers, consequences of revealing sensitive personal information, authorization of funds, and victim prevention. Please register at berkeleylibrarysc.libcal.com/event/10611366 for limited seating.
“Cyberterrorism is the greatest danger facing America,” Centurion said. “Criminals use information to inculcate fear in individuals and then force them to make bad decisions. These bad decisions resulted in individuals losing their life savings.”
