Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen Sets Grand Opening for Memorial Day Weekend
HILTON HEAD ISLAND – Adding a fresh, fun and family-friendly option to the local dining scene, Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen owners announced the restaurant will open Memorial Day Weekend. Located at 14 Folly Field Road, Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen will be an experience-driven restaurant with modern takes on American classics with Southern and Caribbean inspiration, a refreshing beverage menu, and a take-out window open from breakfast through the evening. The venue itself is a sight to be seen featuring a top to bottom renovation. For more information, visit www.luckybeachhhi.com.
“We can’t wait to welcome guests into Lucky Beach — anyone who remembers this space as the restaurant it was before is going to be really surprised,” said managing partner David Leffew. “It took a lot of work to bring our vision to life and we are excited to share that vision with the residents of Hilton Head and the Folly Field neighborhood.”
The all-day menu will run through lunch and dinner, with plans to keep the kitchen open later than many other island locations. Big, fun, shared appetizers like Sheet Pan Nachos, Crab Bread and Goober Chicken Skewers are great starts to a meal. On those hot summer days, the Cool Watermelon Salad and Lucky Beach Cobb will fit the bill. A Smoked Seafood Chowder and Gullah Fish Stew offer comforting choices. For the main course, the menu features a classic Beach Burger and famous Benton’s Bacon Burger, alongside Florida Snapper, Rooster Fried Chicken and more. Save room for dessert, as the oversized creations are built to share.
The beverage menu will feature bright, tropical cocktails along with ice-cold beers, curated wine selections and fun signature drinks. The takeout window will be open starting at breakfast with great coffee and espresso drinks, grab-and-go food options all day for those looking for a quick meal, and soft serve ice cream. Coupled with an online ordering system, the takeout window will also make picking up meals easy for those who want to take food to the beach or back home.
Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen can seat up to 250 guests with welcoming indoor and outdoor dining areas, an exciting bar and space for live music. Located near Hilton Head’s extensive pedestrian pathways, the restaurant also boasts convenient bicycle parking.
David Thompson Architects, a top restaurant architecture company based in Charleston, joined with Tom Lennon Construction to lead the massive renovation of an existing restaurant space.
This is the second restaurant for Hilton Head residents David and Carrie Leffew, who formed the Leffew Restaurant Group with two other family members and purchased Lucky Rooster Bar + Kitchen in 2021. LRG’s partners have decades of experience in the hospitality industry and are committed to providing amazing dining experiences through a focus on environment, facility, food and service.
Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen will be open for the official start of summer, Memorial Day Weekend. Visit the website or social media for updates.
