Press Release

Luxury clothing and accessories brand Ala von Auersperg’s Charleston store recently celebrated its one year anniversary at 102 Church Street. Ala von Auersperg’s colorful designs and chic, yet comfortable silhouettes echo the natural beauty of the city (think palm leaves and ocean prints) and cater to the elegant women who live and play here, all ages and sizes included.

Designer and Founder Ala first brought her decade of experience as a painter to the world of fashion in 2015. She personally hand-paints each of the brand’s signature prints, all of which are nature-inspired including birds, butterflies, foliage and florals. Ala’s love of travel and entertaining also inform her designs, perfect to pack in a carry-on for a tropical getaway or while hosting a soiree. Materials like flexible mesh and flowing silk allow an ease of movement that brings the prints to life and fosters a sense of confidence and effortlessness in the wearer.

Ala von Auersperg releases new drops several times per year, each with a combination of dresses, blouses, pants and wraps that can be mixed, layered and collected (like pieces of art) over time. The brand also has a studio in New York City and a store in Palm Beach, FL.
