Heirs’ Property and Property Tax Seminar: Empowering Residents to Preserve Their Legacy

Dorchester County Government invites residents to Sandhill United Methodist Church for an informative seminar on Heirs’ Property and Property Tax. This program will take place on Saturday, June 24th, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Family Life Center, located at 1961 Summers Drive, Ridgeville, SC.
The seminar will feature presentations from various departments and organizations, including The Center for Heirs’ Property Preservation, Dorchester County Probate Court, Dorchester County Auditor’s Office, Dorchester County Assessor’s Office, Dorchester County Delinquent Tax, and the Dorchester County Treasurer’s Office.
The program will focus on educating residents about heirs’ property, its implications on property ownership, and the necessary steps individuals can take to preserve their property rights. Topics covered during the seminar will include Estate Planning, Probate, Petition to Determine Heirs, and Quiet Title Actions. These presentations will offer practical guidance and expert advice to help attendees navigate the complex landscape of heirs’ property and property tax issues.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with experts from relevant county departments and government and non-profit organizations and seek clarity on their specific concerns.
