Press Release

Bring your dancing shoes and feel-good vibes to James Island County Park for the third event in Charleston County Parks’ Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series! On Friday, July 14th, series regular Mystic Vibrations will take the stage beginning at 8 pm.

Mystic Vibrations hails from Jamaica but moved to the U.S. in 1992. They have released two albums, “People Get Ready” and “Busy Street.” The group also has their own record label, Mystik Musik, started in 2003, that allows them to produce their own albums and those of other roots reggae bands. Mystic Vibrations has opened for several other reggae bands such as Yellowman, Inner Circle and The Wailers.

Gates for the event will open at 7:30 pm, and music will begin at 8 pm. Tickets are available online for $10 per person in advance at CharlestonCountyParks.com. Tickets are also available day-of at the gate for $15 per person. Children 12 and under as well as Gold Pass holders are free of charge and do not require a ticket.

A variety of vendors will have food and beverages available for purchase, and craft vendors will be on site as well selling homemade crafts, gifts and souvenirs. Alcohol will also be available for purchase with a valid ID.

Those attending are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Dogs are allowed but must always remain leashed. No outside coolers or alcohol are permitted.

The event will take place rain or shine unless severe weather forces cancellation.

The final event of this year’s Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series will be on August 4th and feature Amani Smith and the Give Thanks Band.

James Island County Park is located at 871 Riverland Drive.
