Middleton Endorsed By VoteVets in Charleston Mayoral Race
Charleston mayoral candidate Clay Middleton, a combat veteran, Bronze Star Medal recipient, and currently a Lieutenant Colonel serving as a Battalion Commander in the South Carolina Army National Guard, was today endorsed by VoteVets, the largest national political action committee committed to electing veterans.
“Our veterans, communities and country need leaders like Clay,” said Jon Soltz, Chairman of VoteVets PAC. We know that veterans like Clay have the leadership and knowledge garnered from a wide range of experiences that are sorely needed at every level of government. Because Clay has more than proven his ability to lead, on behalf of VoteVets PAC and our more than 1.5 million supporters, we are honored to endorse you.”
Middleton said, “I am humbled and honored to have VoteVets endorsement and to have them in this foxhole with me. I have always shown up for duty and led with distinction. That’s exactly what I will do as mayor of Charleston. Our residents deserve nothing less and our future demands it.”
