Post House Inn Earns High Praise in Travel +  Leisure’s 2023 World’s Best Awards

Mt. Pleasant’s Post House Inn was this week honored in Travel +  Leisure’s 2023 World’s Best Awards. Announced Tuesday, Post House Inn was voted the Best Resort in South Carolina.

“We are honored to receive such an amazing accolade by Travel + Leisure – the largest travel media  brand in the U.S.,” said Ben Towill, Co-Founder and CEO of Basic Projects, the hospitality and design firm behind Post House Inn. “The team at Post House Inn works hard daily to bring guests the best-in class service and experiences. I am very proud of the entire team for their hard work, dedication, and passion put forth to our guests, neighbors in Old Village, and the Charleston community.”

Basic Projects was founded in 2015 by Ben and Kate Towill. The duo are also behind Basic Kitchen and Sullivan’s Fish Camp, sister restaurants to Post House Inn. Post House Inn opened its doors in August 2020 and is located in the Old Village neighborhood of Mt. Pleasant. The Inn is housed in a historic building dating back to the 1800s, offering seven bedrooms on the second and third floor of the building, and a coastal tavern on the main floor.
