Lowcountry Songwriters Unite Against Ovarian Cancer with Benefit Concert

On Thursday, September 14th at 7:30 pm, local musicians Mike Kaufman, Pernell McDaniel, David Perry and special guests will present a concert to benefit the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation. The event will be held at the Encore Music Hall (757 Long Point Rd.) in Mount Pleasant.

The American Cancer Society estimates for ovarian cancer in the United States for 2023 are:

• About 19,710 women will receive a new diagnosis of ovarian cancer
• About 13,270 women will die from ovarian cancer

The South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation is dedicated to improving the health of women through education on the warning signs of ovarian cancer, support of those diagnosed with the disease and promotion of ovarian cancer research.
