5th Annual “Pack the Back” Back to School Drive Scheduled for August 12th

Elite Tax Group in North Charleston in partnership with Flight Adventure Park is excited to announce our 5th Annual Pack the Back-Back to School drive will take place on August 12th, 2023, from 12 pm to 3 pm at 8571 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. After 4 years of premiering this event, it finally has a program home under the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation. Through the years we have relied heavily on community donations and now we can become more impactful by having the non-profit expand our reach throughout the Tri-County area.

The event is organized by Tea Hines, Elite Tax Groups Owner.

Pack the Back has been giving away school supplies and other goodies to children in the Tri County area for four years. It is important for us to display our small businesses through our vendor style business park. The entire community can come and partake in free supplies and goodies from local businesses that support our youth/families. In 2023, we have introduced our newest initiative named the “Teacher’s Lounge” where twenty local area teachers can be pampered by Executive Session Grooming Salon. This lounge is sponsored by Zaxby’s, Panera Bread, Elite Tax Group and Top Golf. It will be held at 1646 Ashley Hall Rd, Chas, SC 29407. Teachers where able to register on Eventbrite for the lounge and Families can register for two-three backpacks per household. 

This year you can also drop off supplies at Chick-Fil-A Rivers Avenue until 7/29/23 and receive a treat. As well as Flight Adventure Park at 8551 Rivers Avenue, to receive a Golden Ticket for jump passes. 

Having the new non-profit house Pack the Back, a new initiative, and still being able to provide the business park keeps the spirit of what Tea’s heart in this community. “After what we have experienced these last two years, the only way we can make it is together…. We all need each other to live and thrive in our community. I am so thankful for all the businesses, donations, and willingness to us grow in areas of Pack the Back to make this a premier back to school event in our city” Tea Hines

As the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation works to make new connections, we are opening the call at the end of September 2023 for sponsorship opportunities. There will also be a few fundraising opportunities soon throughout the city.
