Ralph H. Johnson VA Announces Hurricane Idalia Closures
In preparation for Hurricane Idalia, the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System is currently operating on the following schedule for Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st:
The VA Medical Center’s inpatient care units and Emergency Department will remain open and operational.
The following are outpatient closures:
STATUS FOR WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30:
- Downtown VA Medical Center – Open (Normal Operations)
- Hinesville, GA VA Clinic – Closed
- Savannah, GA VA Clinic – Closed
- Myrtle Beach VA Clinic – Open (Normal Operations)
- Trident Annex – Open (Normal Operations)
- Goose Creek VA Clinic – Closes at 2:00 p.m.
- North Charleston VA Clinic – Open (Normal Operations)
- Beaufort – Closed
STATUS FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 31:
- Downtown VA Medical Center – Opens at 12:00 p.m
- Hinesville, GA VA Clinic – Open (Normal Operations)
- Savannah, GA VA Clinic – Open (Normal Operations)
- Myrtle Beach – Open at 12 p.m. with staff reporting at 11 a.m.
- Trident Annex – Open (Normal Operations)
- Goose Creek VA Clinic – Open at 10 a.m. with staff reporting at 9:30 a.m.
- North Charleston VA Clinic – Open (Normal Operations)
- Beaufort – Open at 12:30 p.m. with staff reporting at 12 p.m.
Clinical staff members are currently contacting patients with appointments during the closures to reschedule their appointments.
All VA employees should be in contact with their supervisor, review facility and service line Severe Weather Emergency Preparedness plans and make plans to ensure the safety of their families.
