South Carolina Historical Society Hosting Grandparent’s Day on September 9th
Attention grandparents! Join the South Carolina Historical Society on Saturday, September 9th for a Grandparent’s Day event at the Fireproof Building. You can learn about preserving your family’s history with the South Carolina Historical Society, Vivid-Pix, and the Charleston Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society.
Guests will have the opportunity to scan and digitize up to 10 family photos or documents using scanning software from Vivid-Pix (to use the scanner, photos and documents need to be 11”x17” or smaller). Grandkids can join too as there will be a commemorative “photo booth” photo opportunity for the whole family.
This is a free, drop-in event during museum hours (10 am to 4 pm) in the historic Fireproof Building at 100 Meeting Street. Admission to the museum will be free all day.
