Tides Folly Beach Announces Events Celebrating Folly’s 50th Anniversary

Folly Beach will be commemorating its 50th anniversary from September 22nd through October 1st, and Tides Folly Beach will be celebrating by hosting a handful of events to bring visitors and locals together in honor of The Edge of America.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

• Friday, 9/22: Folly’s 50th Gala 

  • Location: Ballroom at Tides Folly Beach – A 20s themed black-tie gala complete with a seated dinner, live DJ, dancing, and lots of nostalgic flair.

  • Time: 6 – 9 PM

  • Tickets can be purchased here / $100 per person

• Sunday, 9/24: Beach Day Games 

  • Location: Front beach from Tides Folly Beach to 3rd Block West – A day full of team and individual games on the beach.

  • Time: 11 AM – 3PM

• Thursday, 9/28: Shagging & Disco on the Pier

  • Location: Folly Beach Pier – The evening will start the way many evenings started on the pier back in the day … with some serious shagging. Then, bust out the bellbottoms and get ready to spend the rest of the night reliving the incredible age of disco! Brought to you by Pier 101 and Charleston County Park

  • Time: 5 – 10 PM

  • Tickets can be purchased here / $20 in advance and $25 at the door
