Feidin Santana Endorses Reggie Burgess for Mayor
North Charleston community advocate Feidin Santana will announce his endorsement of former North Charleston Police Chief Reggie Burgess (above) for Mayor of the city at a press conference on Friday, September 8th.
“Reggie Burgess is the people’s candidate,” Santana said. “I’ve seen his work and passion to unite and bring change to our community and that’s the type of leadership we need in North Charleston.”
Santana filmed the shooting of Walter Scott in 2015 which led to law enforcement reform and the arrest of a North Charleston police officer.
“Feidin Santana’s selfless act helped to bring about positive change between the police and the community,” Burgess said. “Procedural Justice policies and procedures were adopted to promote fairness and transparency within law enforcement agencies. I’m honored and humbled to receive his support.”
