Dorchester School District Two Releases Statement about New Metal Detectors

Dorchester School District Two released the following statement regarding their upcoming use of metal detectors:

“Effective today, September 8th, we will use metal detectors at many of our extra-curricular activities inside Dorchester School District Two. This added security measure is another element in our comprehensive plan to provide a safe, welcoming environment for our students, staff, families, and community members. 

Please note our clear bag policy is still in effect. We recommend arriving early to activities as we implement our new system. Thank you in advance for your patience as we focus on our top priority, keeping everyone safe.“
