Charleston County Opens Application Process for STATE Accommodations Tax Funding

Charleston County Government is now accepting applications for distribution of approximately $325,000 to non-profit, 501(c) organizations and foundations that maintain tourism-related facilities in Charleston County. Eligible projects include renovations and maintenance to these facilities.
The Fiscal Year 2024 application for STATE Accommodations Tax funding is due to the Charleston County budget department by 5 pm on Friday, October 6th, 2023. To obtain an application, please visit www.charlestoncounty.org/
The applications are reviewed and ranked by the State Accommodations Tax Committee according to criteria approved by County Council. The overall funding and allocation amounts are subject to approval by County Council in October 2023. State Accommodations Tax awards are eligible for costs incurred between July 1st, 2023 and June 30th, 2024.
