Pay It Forward CHS Hosting Mayoral Forum on Wednesday
On Wednesday, September 27th, the six City of Charleston mayoral candidates will participate in a forum focused on the issues and opportunities facing the food and beverage community. The event, which runs from 10 am to 12 pm at The View at Morrison Yard (850 Morrison Dr.), is free and open to the public.
The forum is an effort of Pay It Forward Charleston, which serves the food and beverage community of the Lowcountry in times of hardship, with partners Lowcountry Local First, Charleston Moves, Black Charleston, FAB, Les Dames d’Escoffier – Charleston and US Bartender’s Guild – Charleston.
This is a non-partisan event, moderated by Hanna Raskin of The Food Section, to encourage civic engagement and will coincide with a voter registration effort led by The League of Women Voters.
Those who wish to attend in person, or who would like to submit questions to the candidates, are asked to submit an RSVP form by September 25th. A virtual streaming option will be made available.
Parking is available is in the adjacent garage for standard City of Charleston rates.
