The Charleston Museum will host Dr. Jon Marcoux for a discussion about how archaeologists gain insights about human behavior and culture through the study of artifacts on Thursday, September 28th from 6 pm to 7 pm.

Dr. Marcoux will show how pieces of pottery from the Museum play into the grander historical process of colonialism. The lecture is the first of a three-part series celebrating the distinguished career of long-time Curator of Historical Archaeology Martha Zierden, featuring noted scholars in the field of archaeology.

Part two will take place on October 19th and part three on November 9th. The lecture is FREE with a suggested donation of $10. Registration online is recommended or guests can call 843-722-2996 ext. 235.
