North Charleston Mayoral Candidate Teddie Pryor, Sr. announced today that he had picked up the endorsement of retired State Representative and Magistrate Judge J. Seth Whipper (above, photo provided by J. Seth Whipper).

“I have known Teddie and his family all my life,” Whipper said. “Over the last 25 years, I have followed his involvement in public service through his work with the Charleston County Constituent School Board, North Charleston Sewer District, to his years of work running Charleston County as its Chairman and Councilmember. Teddie knows how to listen to the needs of the citizens and work with businesses, developers, and other stakeholders to get results that will benefit the community. In my years of working with Teddie in county government, I have found him totally trustworthy and incorruptible.”

Whipper goes on to say, “Teddie’s well-known commitment to accountability in government will promote an atmosphere of openness in government finances. I wholeheartedly support Teddie Pryor for the position of Mayor of the city of North Charleston.”

“I am humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of former Representative Seth Whipper,” said Pryor. “His years of hard work and results in the statehouse and in his community paved the way for me to be able to gain the knowledge and experience needed to become an effective leader and the next Mayor of North Charleston.”
