Hiring Event Highlighting Public Service Job Opportunities

Charleston County Human Resources is partnering with SC Works Trident for a hiring event. This event will be on Wednesday, November 1st from 10 am to 1 pm at the Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building, located at 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston.

Charleston County Government offers a wide array of career opportunities including administrative support, civil engineering, public safety, automotive technology, facilities maintenance, medical services, counseling, and recovery assistance. New hires receive a 3% annual longevity increase for the first five years of employment then additional merit and longevity increases throughout years of employment. Charleston County also offers health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and much more.

Candidates will have the opportunity to connect with staff to discuss potential career paths including Environmental Management, Sheriff’s Office, Consolidated Emergency Communications Center, Public Works, and Facilities Management. In addition, attendees will have a chance to meet and interview with hiring managers to take the next step in joining Charleston County Government.

SC Works will also be in attendance to provide information about career resources and training. Attendees are encouraged to be prepared for interviews and bring an updated resume, as well as be prepared to email their resume to staff if requested.
