Skate the Stadium Returns to Daniel Island This Month

Skate the Stadium, one of the Lowcountry’s newest and most in-demand holiday events, is coming back for a second season at Credit One Stadium. Skate the Stadium transforms the venue into a winter wonderland. The floor is replaced by a custom-built synthetic ice rink, and a heart-warming blend of offerings round out the space, including cozy firepits, holiday décor and lights, concessions, and a festive lineup of special holiday events.

Skating tickets sold out last year in just two days, and organizers are expecting similar demand this year.

“Our goal is to bring joy to the community during this special season,” said Chris Meany, General Manager of Credit One Stadium. “Skate the Stadium is an opportunity to create unforgettable memories with an experience unlike any other in the Lowcountry.”

Tickets are $10 per person, which includes skate rental and a 45-minute skating session. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Skate the Stadium opens on Friday, November 24th and will be open during the following dates and times in November and December:

Thursdays and Fridays from 5 pm – 9 pm
Saturdays, 10 am to 9 pm
Sundays 12 pm to 5 pm

The rink will be closed on December 24th, 25th and 31st.

The venue will be offering food like s’mores kits, cinnamon sugar pretzels, and classic concessions. They will also have hot chocolate, cider, coffee, and seasonal beers and specialty cocktails.

This year’s event will again special theme nights:

Daniel Island Tree Lighting Ceremony: Friday, Nov. 24th
- Festivities start at 5 pm, and the tree lighting at 6 pm
- Enjoy musical performances and kids’ activities, culminating in the magic of a 22-foot tree lighting.
Ugly Sweater Night: Thursday, Nov. 30th from 5 pm to 9 pm
- Participate in the contest for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Holiday Carolers: Fridays (Dec. 1st, 8th & 15th) from 5 pm to 6 pm
- Catch the holiday spirit with vocal performances from local high school choral groups
Deck The Palms: Thursday, Dec. 21st from 5 pm to 9 pm
- Get into the holiday spirit wearing your best beach gear and groove to the tunes of Jimmy Buffett-inspired performances
Movie Night: Friday, Dec 22nd beginning at 7 pm
- Free holiday movie on the grand lawn
Visit with Santa: Saturday, Dec. 23rd from 12 pm to 4 pm.
- Don’t miss the chance to meet Santa just before Christmas!

Credit One Stadium will also offer a limited number of special events, including:

Holiday Mixology Class with Bacardi Limited: Thursday, Nov. 30th
- Two classes available: 5-6:30 pm and 7:30-9 pm
- Learn to craft holiday-inspired cocktails in a private lounge overlooking the ice rink
- Tickets for this 21+ event are $75 and include ice skating
Credit One Wine & Art Walk: Thursday, Dec. 7th from 6 pm to 9 pm
- Browse local artists while enjoying wine samples and light bites
- Tickets for this 21+ event are $75 and does not include ice skating
Bourbon & Oyster Night: Thursday, Dec. 14th from 6 pm to 9 pm
- Savor oysters on the half shell and bourbon flights in a private lounge
- Tickets for this 21+ event are $150 and ice skating is included.
Bubbles on Ice: Thursday, Dec. 28th from 6-9 pm
- Nibble on some light snacks and sip on bubbles from Moet & Chandon
- Tickets for this 21+ event are $75 and include ice skating from 8-9 p.m.
