Could Charleston Disappear Due To Global Warming?

Here’s one list the city won’t be excited to be a part of…

The Huffington Post published a list of U.S. Cities “that could disappear over the next century, thanks to global warming,” and Charleston was included. Savannah, our neighbor to the south, was also listed.

The piece discusses how global warming is leading to a rise in sea levels and what that would ultimately lead to over time (assuming changes aren’t made).

The publication borrowed part of a Charleston City Paper piece from 2011 regarding the topic to demonstrate what the Holy City could look like in the future.
