The Obstinate Daughter To Open in January

The Wild Olive Restaurant Group recently announced their intentions to open The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island this January.
The restaurant will have coastal, lowcountry and Italian influences and will feature pizzas, pastas, small plates and a raw bar. The complete menu is still being developed by Executive Chef Jacques Larson, but as soon as it is realized, Holy City Sinner will be sure to post it.
The name of the restaurant is a nod to the role Sullivan’s Island played during the Revolutionary War. On June 28, 1776, Fort Sullivan was successfully defended against the British fleet in their failed attempt to capture the city of Charleston. The American victory led the creation of a political cartoon titled “Miss Carolina Sulivan, one of the obstinate daughters of America, 1776.”
The Obstinate Daughter will be open 7 days a week, initially for dinner, with plans to be open for brunch and lunch service at a later date. It will be located at 2063 Middle Street.
