Southern Soul Barbeque Joins Home Team BBQ on 12/6
BBQ fans should immediately circle Friday, December 6th on their calendars because at 7 pm that night pitmasters from Southern Soul Barbeque on St. Simons Island, Ga. will team with the folks at Home Team BBQ for a special Backyard BBQ in Charleston. The party will be held at the Home Team location in West Ashley.
The two groups will cook a variety of meats including traditional beef barbacoa, Sapelo Farms hardwood-smoked Cabrito (baby goat), tacos, and housemade goat sausage. They will also prepare some local May River steamed oysters with an assortment of sides including caramelized brussels sprouts with crispy pork belly, cast iron green chili cornbread, a stock pot of local lima beans, and fiery chili-lime corn on the cob.
In addition to the food, Shrimp City Slim will be performing at 9 pm. Plus, High Wire Distilling Co. will be serving a special cocktail while Holy City Brewing will be selling their popular beers.
