Charleston Bed Race Returns in April
The Charleston Bed Race is returning to the Holy City on April 27th.
The 5th edition of the event will once again be held at Hampton Park at 1 pm.
And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like – people will race each other in bed-based contraptions! Plus, it’s free for spectators!
Beds will race in heats of two for about two city blocks with the fastest moving on. That process continues until a champion is crowned.
After the races awards will be give for: Fastest Bed, Slowest Bed, Best Decorated Bed, Most Outrageously Decorated Bed, the “What Were You Thinking?” Bed, and the People’s Choice Award.
Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase throughout the day.
