Charleston Recess Series Debuts 4/19 at Mixson Bath & Racquet Club

The Mixson Bath & Racquet Club will be hosting an “exclusive champagne and brunch pool party series” called Charleston Recess beginning on April 19th.

The event’s website says party-goers can “expect the ultimate progressive poolside experience with” multiple bars, private VIP cabanas, live DJs or bands, a Lowcountry buffet option, bocce, badminton, and cornhole.

The event’s schedule is as follows:

• Saturday, April 19th
  • Featuring Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation
• Sunday, May 25th
  • Featuring Thomas Jack
• Saturday, June 21st
• Saturday, July 19th
• Sunday, August 31st
  • Musicians TBA for the final three events

Food options include:

• 11 am – 1 pm: Breakfast Buffet: $15/Plate
  • 24 Sweet Tea Brined Fried Chicken with Rosemary
  • Lowcountry Cornmeal Pancakes with Spiced Agave Syrup
  • Farmers Market Salad with Green Goddess Dressing
  • Fresh Bacon, Sausage, Seasonal Fruit, BASICO Hash and more
  • $2 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas
• 4 pm – 6 pm: Apres Swim: $10/Plate
  • Luau Style Smoked Pig by the Bocce Courts
  • Hawaiian Rolls from Browscourt Bakery with BBQ sauce and pickles
