EMS Responding to “Chemical Release” at Detention Center
Multiple news outlets are reporting on a situation at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.
Officials told ABC News 4 that there was a “chemical release” at the jail that has resulted in multiple causalities (12 at last count). They are also saying there was no riot, which Charleston Thug Life said may be the case.
One official described the situation to the Post & Courier as “fumes affecting some inmates.”
Meanwhile, Live 5 News was told the fumes were from some sort of “cleaning material.”
***UPDATE, 6:40 pm*** – The culprit? Caulk used to repair shower.
