“Strings & Salsa” Returns to the Music Hall

stringssalsa2After a successful first run back in June, “Strings & Salsa” will return to the Charleston Music Hall on Friday, November 21st at 8 pm. The show is a collaboration between the Charleston salsa community and a lineup of local musicians.

“Strings & Salsa” is the brainchild of Robbi Kenney, who decided to combine her two favorite pastimes of salsa dancing and playing the violin. She partnered with Gino Castillo and a group of violinists and cellists to finalize the project.

Attendees will hear “traditional salsa dance tunes” and ‘Cubanized’ versions contemporary artists like Stevie Wonder and Pharrell Williams. For a preview of the event, watch the video at the bottom of this post.
